West Virginia Home Inspector Licensing Requirements
The following are the requirements on how to become a Home Inspector in West Virginia
- 1. Check or money order payable to “WVSFMO” for $150.00
- 2. A completed, legible, signed and dated application form
- 3. A completed criminal record report and fingerprint check from the WV State Police & F.B.I.
- 4. Proof of general liability insurance of no less than $250,000.00
- 5. Proof of completing an approved 80 hour live virtual or in-classroom training course
- 6. Proof of passing the National Home Inspector Exam through EBPHI
- 7. Copy of High School diploma or equivalent
- 8. Copy of valid West Virginia business license issued by the WV Department of Tax and Revenue
